Meet Joe
Joe Tillman is a sixth generation Iowan who enjoys learning and traveling, then coming back home to Iowa.
He grew up in northeast Iowa in a farming community and received a degree in education from Upper Iowa University. An educator, Joe taught in the Forest City School District for 33 years, followed by seven years as a substitute teacher. Joe met his wife, Claudia, when they were teachers at the same elementary school. Joe and Claudia are the proud parents of three daughters and have six incredible grandchildren.
He has lived in north Iowa for 49 years and understands the issues facing rural Iowa. He enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling, genealogy, and taking his grandchildren on grand adventures. Joe's running to invest in our public schools, protect our land for farmers and future generations, and build an Iowa that works for all of us.
